Even if I take an intellectual-level perspective, I think vandalism (or 
bullying or cheating) is wrong.  But what I think isn't the issue.  I wish you 
were right: that people always act according to what they think is good/better. 
 But vandals (or bullies or cheats) sometimes do what they do because (or even 
though) they think it's not a good thing to do, especially when they don't 
think they'll be caught.
