[Case]
NCo one pays to be bombarded with electromagnetic radiation. But I
guess in a world where people are willing to pay for a bottle of
water paying for breathable air can't be far behind.

Dennis Miller notwithstanding, I also find it amusing that back in
the seventies/eighties there was a market-driven push to "minimize"
shipping costs (and lower cost to the consumer) by extracting "water"
from products. Condensed soup, juice concentrate, detergent
concentrate, etc. The idea was it was too expensive to what amounted
to little more than "shipping water around". The end-user could
supply her/his OWN water, so the idea went, at a much lower cost to
her/himself.

Nowadays we ship around nothing BUT water, and the consumer is happy
to pay what amounts to exorbitant fees for what she/he should be able
to obtain locally for hardly anything. ("It's the single most
abundant resource on the planet!"... Sorry, had to toss that in.) At
one dollar a bottle, water is more expensive than many good beers!
(Distributor pricing). Figure that one out.

Aside from this, it masks a sad fact. Our water supply is becoming
more and more polluted. And we are content to pay $1 for water
shipped from far away rather than do what it takes to clean up our
own local water supplies.
