But for just 50 pence (about 80 cents) a day we get probably the best broadcasting company on the planet - the BBC. It's not perfect by a long way but there's no advertising, good TV and Radio programs and an excellent web site amongst other facilities. Cheap at several times the price. I'm more than happy to pay such a small price for such an excellent service. Now if they could just forget about the ratings crap it would be nigh on perfect.
