Platt, I am not sure if you are aware of the extent of GPS locating devices. Since the boat would not be broadcasting a signal, it would be very difficult for them to tell with accuracy.
Also, as you stated, the satellite evidence has been displayed, and I don't believe it will be long for the Iranians to return the soldiers, since it is clear that they were mistaken. suffice to say that if they didn't intend to do it sooner or later, a case for a multinational force to take action would be somewhat justified, and probably supported by a few more developed countries other than the U.S and Britain. just keep our fingers crossed.
