Like you, I agree with some of what Wilber says but not all, especially his
pitch for planetary government. Whether Pirsig, Wilber, Hofstadter, Ham, Arlo,
Dan or Case, my motto is, "Take what you want and leave the rest." For example,
your pointing out that Wilber is a unrepentant SOMist is dead on. Also I'm
sure you noted that, contrary to Pirsig, he has precious little to say about
the role of morality in in his explication of the way the world works.
