David M Don't you find you have to assume other people are subjects too to get along with them? If not, I'd be surprised if you bother to answer as it won't mean alot to us objects!
[Case] I am not a solipsist. But I understand that it is a logically unassailable position. This is what allows Micah to continue spouting inane one liners without actually saying anything. My recent comments were more or less along the lines you suggest. But I do think it is mistaken to talk about subject's in the plural. Solipsism remains one of the unsolved problems of philosophy. I reject it for pretty much the same reason as does anyone who thinks about it much. That it is just doesn't matter. Whether I am a brain in a vat or an object in the material world, I get hungry, if you cut me I bleed, if I get hit with a hammer I scream obscenities. It is better to just go with the program than trying to reason your way out of the vat. In the past I have said I reject solipsism as an act of faith. I still think that sums it up. moq_discuss mailing list Listinfo, Unsubscribing etc. http://lists.moqtalk.org/listinfo.cgi/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org Archives: http://lists.moqtalk.org/pipermail/moq_discuss-moqtalk.org/ http://moq.org.uk/pipermail/moq_discuss_archive/
