How I would highlight the differences in our positions: Firstly, I don't think reality can be defined, dependently or independently of humans. Secondly, animals existed CHRONOLOGICALLY before humans, viz., we evolved from them. And they may exist after we're gone. But it doesn't follow that animals exist CONCEPTUALLY independent of humans. Thirdly, if humans were to evolve into another species, they might have a reality that is different from ours.
