Marsha, Your point is well-taken, especially your reference to perspective. I wouldn't have said anything about the book if it had been written by some old codger like me, but the author happens to be a young Silicon Valley entrepreneur. Of course, everyone who looks at the decline of quality in the current culture like me and him and Pirsig cannot be sure about the judgment of future generations. That's why I often add to my posts, "I could be wrong."
