Happy New Year All Foci (the fourth?)
A discussion about the "nature" of the static levels developed
during the last days of December and as the level is number one in
the topic list our exchange may be carried over into this month.
I suggested the space dimension analogy to PzEph's initial inquiry
and he seemed reasonably pleased with it. While waiting for a
response I may go on to speak about the objection raised by
Struan Hellier (at the MD) about him not able to see how a matter
"signal" could make a detour round any social level before entering
mind (using the brain prodding experiment as a demonstration).
To SH society is the enigmatic part, but biology should be equally
puzzling - not to speak of the complete four-tiered static reality,
and If one regards the levels as "ports of call" that any influence
have to make a long-winded tour through before reaching mind I
would have agreed. However this is a profoundly non-quality view,
primarily because neither does inorganic/intellect conform to
matter/mind nor is time involved. Again compare it to space where
everything takes place in the three dimensions simultaneously.
The said brain-prodding experiment's seen in a Quality context
(and in the dimensional light) is of course that (the patient's)
biology transformed the inorganic (electric pulse) into social-
coloured memories and that intellect decided that these were
(subjective) memories and not (objective) happenings. A weaving
through the four levels admittedly, but no time-consuming process.
