1. it works okay with xp .. not tested with vista and unlikely to ever migrate to that 2. completely delete all previous installations before trying to install this one 3. you must have administrator rights to install (not limited) 4 be sure you are able to read and write to C: when running (can be limited by IT managers!) I hope these pointers help.
