Hello everyone, As always apologies for cross-posting, but just in case people would like to be added to the email list for the virtual morphometrics meeting. It will be on Wednesday May 27th, 11:30 EST. Please email me if you would like to be added to the list.
Dr. Dean Adams will be doing an overview of Phylogenetic comparative methods, with an eye towards GMM. Dr. Dean Adams is one of the developers of geomorph, and along with his colleagues (and in particular his long time collaborator Dr. Mike Collyer) someone who has developed and improved upon a number of inferential approaches in PCM for multivariate data. The aim will be for about 45 minute introduction followed by time for questions on PCM fundamentals. I am also planning on providing the opportunity for a few folks to present their slides we did not get to last Wednesday. Dr. Adams will also present again in the near future (possibly the following week or a few weeks later depending on his availability) o more specific methodological and inferential approaches for PCM in the context of morphometrics data (and multivariate data more generally). Both of these will be broad overviews rather than detailed in depth lessons (given time constraints etc). However, I think these will be of broad interest to many of you. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Morphmet" group.
