After just being informed about the plan to #ShutDownSTEM for Wednesday
June 10th, Mike Collyer and myself think it is important that we postpone
this meeting in solidarity.

I am not so good with words, but I believe this quote speaks to it.

"to pursue a day of action dedicated to protecting the lives of Black
people. The Strike for Black Lives is needed “to hit pause, to give Black
academics a break and to give others an opportunity to reflect on their own
complicity in anti-Black racism in academia and their local and global
communities,”

Thank you to Joe for bringing this to our attention.

I will send out a fresh zoom link on the weekend for the meeting next
Wednesday June 17th. Please contact me if you would like to be added to the
list.

All the best

Ian
