As noted last week, the Stony Brook server at life.bio.sunysb.edu/morph is down. Perhaps not surprising because that computer was over 15 years old. As I pointed out last week I have a backup site at http://sbmorphometrics.org that I intend to use as a replacement. It is on a commercial server that will be maintained independent of the departmental servers.
In addition, there is a departmental backup server at: http://life2.bio.sunysb.edu/morph At present it should be an exact duplicate but in the future the sbmorphometrics.org server should be more reliable and much easier for me to update so it should be checked first for any updates. I am working on several updates to the tps programs so they will be updated on the sbmorphometrics.org site first. Note: Marcia Ramirez found an apparent problem trying to download from the sbmorphometrics.org site but no problem from the life2.bio site. At present try the life2.bio site if you have a problem until I find the reason for that problem which I was not able to duplicate. Developers should keep me notified on any changes to sites where their software can be downloaded. I would like to keep it as a place where one can find links to all morphometric software - not just mine. Sorry about the complications - though rather minor compared to what is now going on in the world. Stay well everyone! F.
