An interesting package is Momocs in R:

Hi Renata,
the 'old' Morpheus et al. could also do that. There's a paper where we (Cardini & Slice) exemplified that (pdf in my webpage). I am not sure if it is still available on the web but you can find the copy Dennis gave us for the Vienna 2006 workshop here:

Cheers

   Dear Renata,

if you're looking for point-and-click solutions, three options come to
my mind in this moment (I may be forgetting some others):

- SHAPE by Iwata and Ukai http://lbm.ab.a.u-tokyo.ac.jp/~iwata/shape/
- NTSYSpc (which, if I remember correctly, also includes a very useful
routine for the inverse transformation)
- PAST

The latter two obviously do much more than just elliptic Fourier
analyses, by they are point-and-click and comprise routines for that.

In any case, you may want to check carefully their help files (and
original publications) as I'm quite confident there are some differences
in what is happening "under the hood" across these three programs (for
instance in the way they try to remove non-shape variation due to
rotation and size).

I hope this helps,
Carmelo
