Seeking assistance in use of gmShiny. The contact person for support there very helpful, but unavailable right now. Tutorials also helpful-viewed each several times-but the problem is troubleshooting, not included there.
Encountering several problems, first one described here. 3D data for 76 specimens in .tps file, associated traits in .csv. Data includes 955 landmarks or semilandmarks, but file size well within limits specified in Baken et al. (2021:2360), i.e. much <<10Mb. Uploads smoothly and reports successful loading, showing unfitted 3D (i.e., x,y,z) values. Then pruning to match trait and data files (uncertain why pruning needed here, because the files are identical in specimen IDs and number of cases). No phylogeny file. Problem occurs in next step, Data Prep. What should appear on that screen are tabs for: a) linking landmarks and designating semi-LMs; b) visualizing outliers; and c) GPA. Tabs b & c appear, and on b the plot of specimens against mean shape appears. On c, GPA can be performed-takes only a moment to show results, and produces PC 1 vs. 2 plot. However, tab a--for linking landmarks and designating semis--does not appear, which obviously should be completed before submitting data to GPA. In gmShiny test files, some tabs on some procedures do not appear depending on the test data. Have tried several tests of variants of my data (number of cases [as few as 10], number of landmarks [as few as 7] even number of discrete and continuous traits and the number of specimens per discrete trait).
