Dear Kate,
Every year in the spring, I give - as the sole instructor - a course
organised by the German company Physalia Courses. While the first
editions were in person, after the COVID outbreak we moved it online.
The next edition has not been officially advertised yet. It will be
advertised soon. We plan to run the course online on the second half of
April 2023.
You may read a bit more about the last edition on the Physalia Courses
website at the page
https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/course22
Some more, general, information on the course can be also found on my
research website at the page
https://www.fruciano.org/geometric-morphometrics-course/
Do not hesitate to contact me off-list for any question about the course
content/teaching, or Physalia Courses for any administrative question.
Best regards,
Carmelo Fruciano

Hello Morphmet!
I did my Master's thesis in archaeology on a GMM analysis of Southwest
US pottery, and I plan to jump off of that to continue for my
dissertation - but I figured, I could use some more formal training in
GMM methods. I'm particularly interested in learning R more in-depth,
and Elliptical Fourier Analysis.
I was wondering if anyone knew (or was planning to teach!) any
workshops or classes that were being offered, particularly next
spring, summer, or fall?
I'm taking my comprehensive exams this year, so I likely won't be
travelling before the summer, but I am definitely potentially
interested in workshops, or courses, or classes, in the spring, summer
or fall, either online or in person.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thank you!
