Hi all, I have two landmark datasets (endocranial landmarks and facial landmarks) on the same specimens that I would like to merge together. Four of the landmarks are in common between the two landmark sets. (Does that make sense?) Ex.: specimen 1 has 52 endocranial landmarks and 24 facial landmarks, collected at different times on the same specimen. Opisthion, basion, and L & R optic foramina are landmarked in both data sets. I would like to "knit" the endocranial dataset to the facial dataset for each specimen. I think I need to do a matrix rotation?
I am having trouble figuring out whether this is a function in any of the R packages or other available programs. Or will I need to math this out on my own in excel? I'm assuming that part of my issue is that I'm not articulating the problem well, so I don't know how to search for this function :/ Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
