Dear Eduardo,
quite a few papers have information on how to standardize the photos,
reduce issues with the 2D approximation of a 3D structure etc.
I wrote something general on this in the EJT paper:
https://europeanjournaloftaxonomy.eu/index.php/ejt/article/view/2527
There you'll find some refs. In the last one of the series on 3D to 2D
(DOI: 10.1002/ar.24787) there are many more refs. Those from my own work
usually have pdfs available in my webpage (in the signature).

This is not in the refs, I believe, but seem to remember that Dominique
Adriaens (long time ago) also wrote some detailed guidelines on how to take
photos. The file was probably available online (possibly in the SUNY
Morphometrics webpage, but I am not sure).

Good luck. Cheers

Andrea
