Dear all,

New MorphoCloud launched on *today*, and getting an instance is now much
simpler. Onboarding is fully self-service: visit morphocloud.org and click
*"New
user? Join"* — sign in with your ORCID, fill out a short onboarding form,
verify your email, and accept the GitHub organization invitation. That is
the only form you will ever fill out: once you've joined, you can create
instances right away — no use-case description, no approval wait — and
manage them through simple commands on your instance's GitHub issue.
Step-by-step instructions are in our updated documentation
<https://github.com/MorphoCloud/docs> — start with the User Guide
<https://github.com/MorphoCloud/docs/tree/main/user-guide>. All MorphoCloud
emails, including your instance connection details, are sent *only to the
email address you register and verify* during onboarding, and they come from
*[email protected]* <[email protected]> — please add that
address to your safe-senders list so they don't land in spam.

Rather than bookmarking the GitHub repository, we advise using the *Instance
Management* link on morphocloud.org: that way you always pass through the
landing page, where you can see up-to-date instance availability and any
JetStream2 or GitHub outage notices before you attempt to use your
instances. If something seems unresponsive, check there first.

*Note on session timeouts:* to manage their higher cost, the larger flavors
— *g3.xl, g4.xl, r3.large, and r3.xl* — are automatically shelved after *2
hours* of a session, rather than the standard *4 hours*. The default
*g3.large* remains at 4 hours. Regardless of flavor, you can keep extending
your session for as long as you are actively using the instance (respond to
the "extend session?" popup, or click the *ExtendInstanceSession* icon on
the desktop).
