In the tpsRelw software the semilandmark at the end of the curve cannot be
slid so it will be treated as if it were a landmark. The validity of this is
more of a biological question than a statistical one. If the position of
that point is a function of the position of a "mobile feature" then this
will introduce variation in the data that is a function of the position of
the mobile feature - not shape.
