Dear Morphometricians,

Thank you for the positive response, I'm happy to know I am not alone in
using this machine! My SOS plea has been answered, and the spanner
removed from the works... The latest update of 'Landmark' now supports
the binary .ply files, which is great news! (The result of pointing out
a problem with someone's software- Thanks David!) Also great, because
the headache of converting .ply files was too much indeed (Thank you My
sources tell me that OptoCAT new edition produces more refined .ply
files, and has fixed alot of the bugs you may be familiar with, but for
now my version works O.K.(fingers-crossed)!

For those who were interested, the machine is being used to creat 3D
scans of mouse skulls, and with a coating of chalk powder (to reduce
transparency), its working very well.

Thank you all,

Emma Sherratt
