The tpsPower program was written mostly just to perform the simulations
used in my paper comparing power surfaces of various morphometric
methods in testing for a difference in two mean shapes.

I tried to also make it useful for some practical planning of a
morphometric study but it is someshat limited for that as it only allows
the specification of a simple error structure. That could be
generalized if users thought it would be useful.

Subject: tpsPower

Hi everyone:

I have a couple of questions regarding power calculation for GM studies.

1. Is it true to say that, in terms of power calculation, tpsPower is
designed to estimate statistical power for testing the difference between
two mean shapes?

2. Is it also true to say that tpsPower is not designed for determining the
equivalence between two measurements?

Sorry if I'm missing something simple here -

Dave
