Hi all,

I have landmark data from 8 populations of a widespread species. The
populations differ quite dramatically in shape and I would like to
determine how much of that variation might correspond to genetic
variation (DNA sequence data) among the same populations. What I think
I could do is to compute pairwise distances among all populations in
shape space and compare that to a matrix of pairwise genetic distances
using something like a Mantel test. My question: is there an easy way
to generate a matrix of pairwise distances (Mahalonobis distance?) in
any of the TPS series of programs (or any other program). I could then
take the two matrices and use something like NTSYS (I think it will do
this) to compare them. Any suggestions about how to do this, other than
manually in a spreadsheet?

Thanks,

Mark
