Dear morphometers, Would changing the trademark and model of flatbed scanners affect in any way the digitalization of images in terms of optic distortion? In other words, would different flatbed scanners be consistent in terms of the optic quality and distortion for the purpose of image digitalization?
I have a database of a couple thousand skull images all taken with one particular kind of scanner. However, at the moment, I am forced to digitalize additional skulls using a different scanner, but I would like to avoid unwanted error due to differences in the optic quality between scanners.
