Thanks, Thomas. A quick google doesn't show up other reports of Java 1.6
Java3D problems, yet. I will take a look when next I don the m_vis cap.

A cautionary note to all you M_Vis users out there. My computer
experienced an "automatic" update to

Java version "1.6.0_05"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Enironment (build 1.6.05-b13)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 10.0-b19, mixed mode, sharing)

The result, for me, is that m_vis no longer runs on my system. I get
errors that look like Java3D is not available, so I reinstalled that.
But it did not help. Going back to an older version of Java fixed the
problem for me.

So, a caution against upgrading your version of Java until Dr. Slice has
a chance to examine this problem.
