Hi Abby,
Edgewarp read .sur file and I do not know whether the sofware of your laser
surface scan can save your 3D surface as a .sur file.
Otherwise, it exists a little function call "obj2sur" that works with the
Edgewarp. If you save your surface as an .obj file, this function can
transform your file to a .sur file. You can download this function from the
Edgewarp website. You need to put it in the same forder as your surface.
Afterwards, open a terminal and go to the directory where the surface is
stored. From this folder write this:

ewsh3.30 obj2sur <xxx.obj> xxx.sur

Respect space and change xxx by the name of your surface. Then you will have
your .sur file ready for Edgewarp.
I hope this will be a help for you.
Michael

Has anyone who has had experience with laser surface scan data and
Edgewarp 3.30 provide some hints as to which format the 3D models
should be in so that Edgewarp can read them?
Thanks!
Abby
