-------- Original Message -------- Subject: software for semi-landmarks Date: Sat, 31 Oct 2009 07:37:39 -0700 (PDT) From: Ond?ej Mikula <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Dear morphometricians, I have a short question - what software is preferable for an acquisition and processing of semi-landmarks (in 2D)? Best regards Ondrej Mikula
Dear Ondrej, I've always been satisfied with the TPS series (TPSdig for acquisition, TPSutil or text editor for semilandmark definition and TPSRelW for superimposition/sliding). Wether this way of working is "preferable" or not, I don't know. By the way, in one instance I have been satisfied using MakeFan (of the IMP package) to define a consistent and objective way of locating semilandmarks (in other occasions I didn't find it was necessary) before using the programs of the TPS series.
