I have used TPSdig to record a series of landmarks and semilandmarks,
and I would like to eventually process these data using some of the IMP
packages (PCA & CVA). However, I am somewhat confused by the process.
Documentation for IMP's SemiLand6 states that I need to convert the
TPSdig coordinate data into a format that IMP can use, i.e, X1 Y1... .
At the moment, the only way that I can see to do this is to (1) import
them into IMP CoordGen, (2) transform the coordinates (Procrustes GLS),
(3) save the aligned data in X1 Y1 format, and (4) then run them through
SemiLand6 using my protocol file.
Something in the back of my head is telling me that this is not correct,
however, as the GLS alignment precedes any consideration of semilandmark
movement/sliding. Am I paranoid, or am I really missing a step
somewhere? Does anyone have better suggestions on how to accomplish the
same tasks?
Thanks for any help that can be offered,
-Matt
