The sequence in which you enter the landmarks does not matter as long as
you are consistent and always use the same sequence. However, for each
landmark most software will assume that you are giving the coordinates
as x,y or x,y,z for each landmark (rather than all the x-coordinates
then all the y-coordinates, etc.).

I am studying the effects of diet on the morphology of the mandible in
primate species. I am using selected landmarks from a study by
Nicholson
& Harvati (2006) "Quantitative Analysis of Human Mandibular Shape Using
three-dimensional Geometric Morphometrics". I am new to field of
geometric morphometrics and do not know the proper sequence of the
landmark coordinates. The article lists 16 landmarks, 4 of which are
along the midsaggital plane. There is a total of 28 landmarks with 12
homologous pairs.
I attempted to contact the authors but have had no luck. The email ends
up failing due to some server issues.
Thanks for any help you can give
Sincerely,
Daniel Arrañaga
