-------- Original Message -------- Subject: really elementary question Date: Tue, 30 Nov 2010 18:19:30 -0500 From: Andrea Blair <bd_bl...@hotmail.com> To: <morphmet@morphometrics.org> I am just starting out in geometric morphometrics and I am wanting to combine files that I have already landmarked but can't get them to combine and then open, can you help me out? Assume I know nothing about computers or file sorting
Dear Andrea, I guess it depends on the format you are using. For the widely used TPS and NTS formats you can use TPSUtil. Another option with most formats that can be opened by a text editor would be to simply open files and copy-and-paste content in a single file using a text editor such as Windows Notepad. A certainly faster way of doing this would be using the DOS command "copy" (under Windows you have to open a DOS command line session and use there the copy command). Well, I mentioned a few options but, again, I don't know if this applies to the format you are using.
