The Zelditch book on Geometric Morphometrics has an extended analysis of
the lower jaw of the fox squirrel beginning on p. 166 in Ch. 7
Ordination Methods.
However, there are no bibliographic references as to the origin of this
data, or pointers to copies of the actual input data. I'm new to this
field (my primary interest being in multivariate statistical methods for
classification in various application areas), so I'm not sure what
conventions, if any, apply to the archiving and sharing of morphometric
raw data.
Practices seem to vary widely across different disciplines. For example,
in fields such as bioinformatics and machine learning, there are very
large public archives. RA Fisher once suggested that such statistical
input data should be archived at the Science Museum in South Kensington,
but that was long before the days of the Internet.
Any pointers welcome! Just a handful of examples would be more than
welcome.
