-------- Original Message -------- Subject: Program to analyse semilandmarks from 3D surface virtual objects Date: Tue, 16 Aug 2011 12:42:16 -0400 From: hmi hmi <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Dear morphometricians, I'm looking for a program which could analyse 3D virtual objects (*.obj, *.ply etc). I used the IDAV landmark software for single point landmark and curve placement on *.ply files for the semilandmarks. The only program which I found that can can analyse 3D semilandmarks is resample. I've tried using resample in command prompt for Windows 7. I've also followed the tutorial mentioned below and changed my output files in landmark from *.dta (NTsys landmark points) to *.pts (Raw landmrk points) and saved in *.txt format: http://pages.nycep.org/nmg/downloads/resampledirections.doc http://pages.nycep.org/nmg/DVLR_instructions__new.doc However, every time when I try the resample.exe -c (file name) command line it keeps saying "missing data point line (line number)". It seems that resample wants a *.prn file which I am clueless about. I am not sure now if the *.prn file is where the data should be and the command file is made as the file which defines the data structure. Google mentions the *.prn file is just a normal file used by the printer to print documents. Does anyone know where I'm going wrong with the resample program? Is there an alternative program which I could use to analyse semilandmarks from the IDAV landmark software? Greatful for the help, Helmi Hadi [email protected]
