Dear Parashar Dhapola,
Ad 1.) In my opinion, the help files included in the tps-Programs (also in tpsSplin) give a very good and comprehensive overview on the purpose of each specific program, and technique in general, as well as the technical details and examples.
Ad 2.) In tpsSpline you need two data files (one reference and one with the configuration(s) to which the reference should be compared), as well as an additional slider file if you have semilandmarks.
Then you can load all the three files one after each other by clicking on
File (from the Main menu) => Load reference
File (from the Main menu) => Load data
File (from the Main menu) => Open sliders file
If you want to do more than the pairwise comparison of 2 shapes and Procrustes distances, you might want to have a look at tpsRelw for the exploration of shape variation or tpsRegr for relating shape to a single variable. This, however, depends on your research question.
Best wishes,
Sonja

Greetings,
I have recently started morphometrics analysis of some plant leaves.
I'm using TPS suite for this purpose. I have got two queries:
1) Where can I find resources that would help me understand the underlying principles of these programs esp. tpsSplin. I'm from non mathematical background, but would still like a detailed explanation.
2) I have land-marked my specimens using tpsDig2 and also have generated a slider file using tpsUtil. But I'm not sure how to integrate the two files so that tpsSplin may be able to slide semi-landmarks.
