Two suggestions regarding problems in tps software:

First, it is more direct to email me directly about problems with the tps
software (you will not have to wait for the message to be posted on
morphometrics.org and I do not mind receiving such emails and it means I can
fix the problem more quickly). Second, you can then attach the file you are
having problems with. Sometimes problems are unique to a certain data file or
particular combination of options.

I just tried tpsRelw on several of my tps files and had no problem. I need to
try your file to find out what is wrong. it may be some option that does not
happen to be in my usual test files.
