Winnie, TPS is not an image file format. It's 
ascii file with information that allows TPSDig to 
'find' the pictures and load them to digitize the 
landmarks. In the same file you will then save the landmark coordinates. 

All the programs of the TPS Series have extensive 
help files. You may want to start from there 
(first TPSDig and TPSUtil help files). You'll see 
how easy it is to build the tps TPS file in Util 
and later use it in Dig. In TPSDig, don't forget the scale factor!
