I have obtained an image of a rare woodpecker that contains morphometric information. The image is discussed here:
http://fishcrow.com/condor14/Movie_S20.mp4 Does this image appear to provide morphometric information that might be useful for distinguishing species? The following movie shows the event from which the image was cropped (it plays at half speed): http://fishcrow.com/condor14/Movie_S19.mp4 In the discussion in the first movie, I point out that the distance the tail projects behind the wings is about the same as the width of the wings, but the width of the body relative to the width of the wings also appears to match the historical photo. -- MORPHMET may be accessed via its webpage at http://www.morphometrics.org To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an email to morphmet+unsubscr...@morphometrics.org.
