The Department of Anatomy at MWU is opening a search for a tenure-track assistant professor. The successful candidate will be joining a large department whose faculty includes four biological anthropologists with research interests in comparative primate morphology and evolution. Primary teaching responsibilities are in clinical gross anatomy for medical and allied health sciences students. The full job description and application details are provided below. Applicants must be able to teach gross anatomy. Individuals with postdoctoral experience and additional teaching expertise in histology, embryology, or neuroanatomy will be given preference. Applicants are expected to be able to establish an independent research program capable of attracting extramural funding. Departmental research interests include: vertebrate evolutionary morphology, skeletal morphological variation and function, skull anatomy, geometric morphometrics, neuroplasticity and repair of the central and peripheral nervous system, neurotoxicity and the effects of ethanol on neuro immune responses.
