Hi Marta-

With regard to obtaining linear measures from photographs, I have an
addition to Andrea's suggestions of using TPSDig to get landmark data
first.

I have a piece of software on my website
(http://www.canisius.edu/~sheets/morphsoft)
called TradMorphGen which will compute any requested set of
interlandmark distances from a properly scaled set of landmark
measurements. It will load data in the IMP file format I use, or TPS
files. This is all freely distributed academic software, it might prove
helpful.
