Dear Morphometricians, I am quite new to the area and I apologize in advance for the trivial nature of this request. I am working in a project where we aim at assessing the distortion of fingerprints on various substrates. Our sample is made of a base (undistorted) fingerprint image and various distorted marks obtained with that finger. We thought of using TPS to explore the non-affine distortion components.
We are using points, we called minutiae, as landmarks between the base and a distorted image to compute the TPS parameters. It has been quite easy for me to find the adequate function in Matlab to compute the TPS parameters. However, I would like now to apply a set a TPS parameters on given base image to compute its "distorted image". I am currently struggling with the Matlab code (speed issues) and I was wondering if any of you would have a potential M-file he/she could share with me.
