Stephanie,

Sounds wonderful. I also teach Third Grade and spend a lot of time teaching
comprehension strategies. I have gotten excellent learning from almost every
one of my students by using my Read Aloud time to help teach. This gives me
the chance to model how I am using the strategy and gives many opportunities
for the students who are catching on to show the class how they are
thinking. Also gives the students, particularly ELL, who have a harder time
writing to be successful orally. Hope this helps.
