If you have access to Chris Tovani's I Read It, But I Don't Get It, the passage (and directions) are on page 25. It's included in her chapter on Setting Purpose. Kristin/CO/6th Several years ago when I taught 6th - 8th Title I reading, I used a short passage to illustrate the different purposes and interpretations we have for reading. It was a passage about two youngsters who skip school and go to one boy's house. It describes the house vividly. (It would also be good for visualization for older grades.) _______________________________________________ Mosaic mailing list [email protected] To unsubscribe or modify your membership please go to http://literacyworkshop.org/mailman/options/mosaic_literacyworkshop.org.
