Gayle, Our team has also developed our own pretests and we have tried to develop that exact piece for kids who test out as our differentiated piece for the high fliers. I don't know too much about the differentiated manual other than noting that one exists in the new edition that Chicago Math is hawking in their brochures. I do know that the manual is in the new grade level kits and I doubt seriously that they are going to send our district just that piece of the new kit considering this is big buisness. I have dropped out of this loop because the reception we got from our own administration on the oodels of work our first grade team did to bolster the Chicago Math was not even really looked at seriously by our math coordinator. The change in administrators has compounded the problem. I do not want to take on one more district agenda when they have not even made up their "collective mind" as to the direction. I think when distirct asks for help and then receives teachers best efforts (even if limited in scope) a look see is at least expected. _______________________________________________ Mosaic mailing list [email protected] To unsubscribe or modify your membership please go to http://literacyworkshop.org/mailman/options/mosaic_literacyworkshop.org.
