Hi, Just this week I stumbled upon the Discover America State by State alphabet books and purchased the one on Washington state: E is for Evergreen. My adult student had great fun trying to predict what the authors used for each letter. Occasionally he was correct, thanks to his store of background knowledge, and we both learned some new information about our state. If you're not familiar with the series, each page has the typical A is for... in verse format and a column of additional information as well as really nice illustrations. I would guess that a class or small group would have just as much fun as we did!
