I love Byrd Baylor's Guess Who My Favorite Person book. It was the first time I ever used a children's book to teach imagery and concrete writing to my 9th graders. You can't just say blue....you have to say what kind of blue...you know that electric blue, the sudden blue that you glimpse on a lizard's belly? Those aren't the exact words, I'm paraphrasing, but the two characters play a guess what my favorite _____ game is and the answers are so amazing! I love it...one of myall time favorites. Sally
