Thanks, Felicia for asking about the timing for Mosaic of Thought - second edition and To Understand. Both will be Heinemann publications, but Mosaic 2 will be out in May 2007 and To Understand which is my book taking the ideas we discussed in Mosaic to, I hope, a new level, will follow later in 2007 or early 2008. Both are done and it's a little frustrating to have to put To Understand on ice for a bit, but Heinemann believes, and I suspect that they're right, that it's appropriate to give Mosaic the first spot as it is the 10th anniversary and may revive interest in comprehension instruction leading into the publication of To Understand. You're very kind to inquire and I'm just delighted to have both of them written! I may not be able to help myself, now that I have more time, from tinkering with To Understand a bit more!! I've only been working on it for 6 years - what's another draft or two?!??!
