Kimberlee, Thank you so much...that is such great information. It's a good place to start. Do you have any suggestions for how I can introduce and teach this to my class. I have many good examples of all these types. I thought of having the students sort them into piles. Or doing some kind of organizer, like a tree map to show the kinds and write the descriptions. So I'm understanding that I can make three different categories of Expository text.
