Would you give out your list of books for each type of grabber?
I didn't really create a list. I just went to my shelf and pulled out a
pile of expository books. I opened each one and read the first paragraph to
see what the author used. Common choices were: setting (i.e. Deep in the
forest you can hear....), rhetorical questions (Have you ever wondered....),
and interesting facts (A chicken closes its eyes by moving the lids up
instead of down...).
