  Waiting until the end of the year seems like such a daunting task! In the 
discussions we've had at my school this year leading up to the mandatory 
portfolio policy, we decided that the students should do this weekly, since we 
try to send home work every Friday. I think that is hard, as well, since they 
don't get much time to reflect on their work. I also would like to see some 
teacher input, because some students "can't see the forest for the trees."
