Have you thought about asking the student what he might want to puruse? If he is such a good reader, I would think he might have some interests that he could follow. There is also the possibility of his doing research on a topic and writing about it. I've had numerous kindergarten students do research--I even read and "translate" encyclopedia articles for my students on topics and then they write about it in their own words. Following his interests will take a lot of the onus off you. Good luck, Freida Hammett
