Response to Volume 7, issue 15: I am elem ed. grad student. In one of my ed. courses, we recently watched a video on Debbie Miller's literacy strategies in her first-grade classroom. I found the way Miller utilized music to teach reading comprehension, as well as to transition her students between activities very interesting. (Strategy Instruction in Action, Harvey and Goudvis, Stenhouse 2002)
